Judd Stinson

Pastor

The Reverend Judd Stinson grew up in Evergreen, Alabama. He was educated at the University of Alabama (B.A. in Political Science) and at Emory University (Master of Divinity). Reverend Stinson is married to the Reverend Libba Stinson who has been a pastor of the Grace UMC in Auburn, Alabama since 2005. They served as the first United Methodist co-pastors in the Southeast starting in Foley, Alabama (1982-1987), Monroeville, Alabama (1989-1993), Marianna, Florida (1993-1998) and Eufaula, Alabama (1998-2002). Reverend Stinson became the pastor of Summerville United Methodist Church in June of 2008. He and Libba are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Rachel and Christine.

Maureen Rosenbaum

Music Director

Maureen Rosenbaum was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. She grew up in the First Methodist Church and was active in the music program singing in Children’s Choir, Adult Choir and providing music for Bible Schools and M Y F. Ms. Rosenbaum graduated from the University of Arkansas with a double major in voice and theater and a minor in piano. In 1961 she and her husband moved to Auburn, Alabama where Ms. Rosenbaum taught applied voice at the University from 1961 through 1965 as well as performed in recital, oratorio and on public television. In 1964 she and her husband took the Minister of Music position at First Methodist Church in Opelika, Alabama. Ms. Rosenbaum remained as Associate Director until 1985 when she moved to Columbus, Georgia. She taught applied voice at Columbus College for 17 years. In 1989 Ms. Rosenbaum became the Music Director of Summerville United Methodist Church. She has 2 daughters and 6 granddaughters.

Dimple Davis

Children’s Director

Originally from Rome, Georgia, Dimple moved to Phenix City, Alabama in 1976. She is married to Norman Davis with two sons, Michael (wife Della) who reside in Phenix City, Alabama and Joey who resides in Summerville, South Carolina. The Davis’ also have 3 granddaughters, Jessica, Ashleigh (Phenix City, Alabama) and Hayden (Summerville, South Carolina). Dimple is a recent retiree from Synovus Financial Corporation after 33 ½ years of service. She has been a member of Summerville United Methodist Church since1992 and began working in the Children’s Ministry in 1993. In addition to Children’s Director, Dimple serves as President of the Phenix City Civitans, Ambassador for the Phenix City/Russell County Chamber of Commerce and Member of the American Society State Leadership Council. She is also involved with the Russell County Relay for Life (20 plus years) and serving her 2nd term as Even Chair. Dimple’s hobbies include grandchildren, crafts, traveling and fellowship with family and Red Hat friends.

McKenzie Cooper

Administrative Assistant

A Phenix City native and graduate of Auburn University, McKenzie holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and minor in Logistics. She joined Summerville United Methodist Church staff in 2011. McKenzie is responsible for the church database, business transactions, financial reporting, contributions and all other general administrative responsibilities. Prior to the church, she served three years as the Program Director of a United Way Agency called Feeding the Valley Food Bank in Columbus, Georgia. McKenzie is married to Cameron Cooper and they have one daughter, Karsyn.
